Great read, rings true 👏. I watch colleagues move up and they are low enough to not need surgery yet, and try to make drops in the water. The ones I have seen in the higher echelons have changed so much I almost don't recognize/trust them.. not a good game to play when moving up.. getting that surgery. Leads to toxic work environments. I'm in the "gated community" side of law enforcement and even there the Surgeons are hard at work.
