I too have been around the leadership space, and even behind the veil at times, and have heard from some very prestigious people who believe they are great leaders. Often they actually tell you stories where they are the hero of the story but they already had their mind made up or defied every reasonable person they promoted - to make the wrong decision. Dr. Travis Yates, you are the real deal and you are inspiring the next generation of strong leaders. I also believe they will rise faster than the weak leaders chasing status. The strong appear to be getting stronger and the weak keep getting weaker.

Teach Uncle Trav ,

You are given invaluable lessons born out of adversity , hardships , and sacrifice.

When you stepped up and wrote the unadulterated truth regarding the sad state of Leadership within Law Enforcement , you were still on the job.

No one wanted the smoke that came with speaking truth.

You endured lawsuits , people trying to cripple you financially , because you wouldn't be a part of their agenda - sell out.

You had to feel the pain of being called " racist " by the black community - the very same community you protected.

Getting threats from them , warning you to stay out.

Having people within your own Department turn their backs on you.

I'm going to keep it 💯

YOU are the originator of The Courageous Leadership movement.

Commander Heal endorsed your book without hesitation - another fellow Officer who endured hardships and made sacrifices -in his career.

He saw himself in you ; someone who stood strong in the mist of the storm and prevailed.

I am honored and proud that you are my mentor.
