The Nancy Guthrie Case: Failed Leadership

Our Exclusive Interview Exposes Cowardly Leadership

Like many of you, I have been watching the coverage from Tucson, and a few days ago, I noticed a shift in the messaging from the commentators who actually know what they are talking about.

While I’m familiar with Pima County's leadership history, I was somewhat surprised when I heard Lt. (ret) Randy Sutton openly discuss it on the air. Randy has been a huge promoter of our work here, and since he had already let the proverbial cat out of the bag, I brought him on the podcast to discuss the failed leadership in detail.

Of course, cowardly leadership is not unique to Pima County, but in times of chaos, it becomes exposed.

It’s a fascinating interview and one, unfortunately, you don’t hear very often. Very few in our profession discuss failures openly, and I’m not exactly the most popular speaker for doing so, but I maintain that we will never fix the profession if we don’t discuss the actual problems.

I applaud Randy for doing so and encourage you to watch the interview.
